The PRF (Platelet Rich Fibrin) technique involves the preparation of platelet-rich plasma.
The purpose of this is to shorten the healing time of dental procedures, accelerate bone formation, prevent wound inflammation, and ensure faster and more comfortable healing after the procedure.

The essence of the procedure is that blood is taken from the patient at the same time as the oral surgery, and a special procedure, known as centrifugation, is used to produce platelet-rich plasma.
The resulting material contains high concentrations of leukocytes, thrombocytes, growth factors, and cytokines, which originate from the patient's own blood and contribute to the healing process.
Advantages of the procedure:
- The material used for healing comes entirely from the patient's own body.
- It can be combined with bone grafting material.
- It is a quick and simple procedure.
Its use in dentistry:
- During tooth extractions
- When placing implants
- During bone grafting and sinus lifting
- During periodontal procedures
